Introducing Ozishield
Terrence and Matthew of OziShield "discovered" Paint Protection Film in 2001 while waiting for a new car to be shipped from Europe. At first they didn't believe that such a product would work or look good enough to wear on a car for that long.
After 5 years and 163,000 kms of driving protection, the film was removed from the bonnet of their car and the paintwork was absolutely the same as the day the film was put on. No swirl marks, no stonechips, no bug etchings, no evidence of bird droppings, no oxidation.
Since 2003, they have been installing Paint Protection Film and our business has installed over 1500 cars, motorcycles, trucks, vans, utes.
Paint Protection Film
Paint Protection Film is a specially designed product made from crystal clear polyurethane that can be applied to any painted surface to help protect against stones, bugs, bird droppings, chemicals and general road debris. Even though it's incredibly thin (just .2mm) it absorbs the energy from most missiles that would otherwise mark your paint.
The Film Construction
The film has a hard glossy surface which blends in with modern automotive painted surfaces. Under the surface is a soft layer of polyurethane which absorbs the energy from stones, etc., and minimises damage to the expensive paint work. The film is held onto the painted surface by a removable adhesive which will not harm factory painted surfaces if or when you decide to remove the film. Why Do It?
Modern automotive paints are not as durable or as tough as they used to be. It seems that the more expensive the car, the more that it attracts damage while out on the road. Paint Protection Film is your best defence against all the sorts of things that take that showroom shine from your prized vehicle.
All of our kits are computer cut and contain many pieces to protect the most damage-prone areas of your vehicle. A lot of damage to cars and motorcycles doesn't even come from stones; zips on motorbike jackets can ruin a great tank, shoes can damage the door steps of cars when people are getting in and out. Suitcases and bags can remove chunks of paint from your rear bumper. Kids and pets can really give your car a hard time.
